Perineorrhaphy

Perineorrhaphy is a surgical procedure that is used to repair damaged perineum. This surgery is usually performed after childbirth when a woman experiences a perineal tear during childbirth. As a result of this rupture, problems with urination, bowel movements and sex life may occur.

Perineorrhaphy can be performed either by open surgery or by laparoscopic surgery. Open surgery is performed through an incision in the perineum, while laparoscopic surgery is performed using special instruments that are inserted through small incisions in the abdomen.

After surgery, the patient may experience some discomfort, but this usually goes away within a few days. After surgery, you must follow your doctor's recommendations to avoid complications.

**Perineorrhaphy** is a surgical intervention that is performed to restore damaged tissues and structures in the perineal area. Typically, this operation is performed after delivery, when the muscles and/or walls of the vagina are torn during labor. Perineororrhaphy can be performed as a primary intervention or as a postoperative treatment.

**Causes of perineal damage**

Damage to the perineum is quite common during pregnancy and childbirth. This can be caused by a number of factors, including large fetal size, abnormal positioning of the fetus, entanglement of the umbilical cord, premature birth, etc. If a perineal tear occurs, surgical treatments may include cutting tissue, repairing torn muscles and joints, and suturing.

When suturing the periphery, the goal is to repair muscle and ligament tears that occur during contractions and pushing. These stitches are usually made using a special technique called “returned twine.” During this technique, the surgeon makes a “Y” shaped incision in the periphery, removes excess tissue, and pulls the muscle back into place. After surgery, the patient should avoid strenuous activity and sit on chairs or the floor, providing support for the repaired tissue.

Surgical repair of the perineum may take several days, especially if deep tissue was used

Perineorophy is a surgical procedure to repair damaged perineal muscles with suturing after injury.

Typically, the most common cause of perineal injury is injury during pregnancy. In this case, cutting the muscles of the perineum leads to rupture and wounds that can lead to injury to the bladder or bowel.
