Perionychia

Peronychia is an inflammation and disease of the nail plate. Peronychia can occur as an independent inflammation of the nail fold or, in some people, serve as an “entry gate” for infection. There are no other common causes for the development of peronychitis, but there are factors that contribute to its development: * Impaired blood supply to tissues. * Incorrectly performed manicure or pedicure.
