Pharmacopsychiatry

Pharmacopsychiatry is usually called the part of psychiatry that combines medications and methods of treating mental disorders. This is not the treatment of psychiatric diseases with drugs, but the overcoming, correction and mitigation of the symptoms of these diseases. There can be either independent therapy or methodical work with the consequences of the disease. As a result of mental illness, a pathology can form. The pharmacopsychiatrist accepts patients without age restrictions. The interests of the patient are important to him and he is ready to use all available means to eliminate the disease and improve the quality of life. The treatment methods for this discipline are: • drug therapy; • psychological counseling; • psychological correction.
