Pyrazinamide

Pyrazinamide is a synthetic organic compound that has antibacterial properties. Antituberculosis drugs in this group are used for the treatment and prevention of tuberculosis.

One of these drugs is Pyrazinamidus, which belongs to the group of nitroimidazole derivatives. The medicine is available in tablets of various dosages - 125, 250, 375 and 50 mg. The active substance of the drug is pyrazinamide hydrochloride - one of the effective anti-tubercular substances. The drug quickly dissolves in the stomach and enters the bloodstream. In the liver, a transformation occurs of a substance that is inactive, but after absorption breaks down into metabolites. Some of the substance reaches the renal tubules, where it is filtered and excreted in the urine. Metabolites are also excreted from the body.

Typically, Pyrazinamidus is used in complex therapy, combined with other anti-tuberculators, for example, Rifampicin or Ethambutol. Can be combined with the 4th component, which improves tolerability and reduces side effects.

However, with prolonged use of the drug, side effects on the body are possible. Possible side effects from the digestive system: loss of appetite and stool disturbances. Pyrazinamindus can cause a rise in temperature and various inflammatory reactions, including interstitial ones. Liver damage (hepatitis), gouty disorders, pancreatic damage, anorexia and a number of allergic reactions are also possible. In case of overdose of Pyrazminidus, symptoms may include dizziness, weakness, drowsiness, diarrhea, headache, depression, neuritis and confusion. Usually, after stopping the drug, all side effects appear and a secondary infection may occur.

Contraindications for the use of Pyrazinamidevecus include hypersensitivity to nitroimidatecel or other components of the drug, impaired renal and liver function. As an independent substance, or in combination with Rifamcycin and Streptomycin, the drug can be recommended for the treatment of patients with tuberculosis. However, the exact dosage and duration of use should only be prescribed by a doctor.

Pyrazinamide (name by international nonproprietary name - Isoniazid) is an anti-tuberculosis drug - a derivative of imidazole and nicotinamide.

The substance reduces the incidence of drug-resistant forms of tuberculosis and is used in chemotherapy for newly diagnosed cases or for inactive tuberculosis. Pyrazotamide is prescribed orally and administered
