Pleo

Pleio (from the Greek plēō - “to grow”) is a Greek feminine name, derived from the name Paul or Apollo. There are several versions of the origin of the name. In the first case, its origin is explained by the fact that the ancient Greeks called the goddess Polya, daughter of Zeus or Poseidon, after their homeland of the Peloponnese. According to another version, the name Pleio comes from the Greek ἕλσος - maple; the lyre for Apollo was made from maple. The third version is based on the fact that the name “Playa” was derived from the name of the Plesk tribes.
