Temporary filling

Temporary fillings (or temporary fillings) are special materials that are used to close a tooth cavity in the treatment of caries complications (for example, pulpitis or periodontitis). They are a temporary filling that helps protect the tooth from further damage and keep it healthy.

Temporary fillings are made from special materials that are highly durable and resistant to bacteria and other microorganisms. They also have good adhesion to the tooth surface and can be easily installed and removed.

Temporary fillings can be of different types depending on what complications of caries were discovered. For example, in case of pulpitis, a temporary filling can be used, which closes the pulp chamber of the tooth and protects it from further destruction. For periodontitis, a filling can be used to close the root canal of the tooth and prevent further spread of infection.

It is important to note that temporary fillings are not permanent and must be replaced with permanent fillings after treatment is completed. This is because they can cause gum irritation and other problems if left on the tooth for too long.

Overall, temporary fillings are an important tool in dentistry and help maintain dental health while complications from tooth decay are treated.

Filling of the tooth canals is carried out using a filling - a special cementing material, as well as the filling itself (temporary). In dentistry, several materials are used to create fillings in canals for both adult patients and children. It could be:

1. Viokor – a composite for filling root canals as a result of the treatment of pulpitis. The composition includes fluorine-containing resins and organic polymers. Can be used for both pediatric and middle-aged patients. 2. Apexdent - a mixture of distilled water, silica, acetic acid, sodium fluoride, formaldehyde, which leads to blocking of the sensitive fibers of the nervous system in dentin. It is used as an independent drug, and as an anesthetic after preliminary treatment of the canal. 3. Forphenan is a good remedy against infection in the canal cavity and dentin decay. Has an analgesic effect.
