Population migration is the movement of people across the borders of certain territories with a change of permanent place of residence forever or for a more or less long period.
Population migration can be internal (within one country) and external (between countries). There is also a distinction between voluntary and forced migration.
The main reasons for migration are economic (search for work, higher salaries), political (wars, persecution), environmental (natural disasters, environmental problems).
Migration has a significant impact on changes in the size and composition of the population both in the countries of departure and in the countries of arrival of migrants. It requires solving a whole range of economic, social and cultural problems related to the adaptation and integration of migrants.
