Heart Disease Rheumatic

Remotic heart disease is a dysfunction of the heart caused by inflammation of the cardiac lining (myocarditis) or damage to the valvular apparatus of the heart (endocardium). The purpose of such a defect may be to weaken the activity of the heart muscle, its inability to supply the body with necessary substances and oxygen. Heart damage can occur for a long time without causing any sensation in a person. In some cases, the development of heart disease is preceded by frequent attacks of arrhythmia, pain in the heart area, and fever. There are three forms of rheumatic heart disease: rheumatic carditis, endocarditis and valvular disease. This is due to the fact that the inflammatory process of the heart develops gradually. The patient exhibits characteristic signs of infectious diseases: fever, chills, decreased appetite, weakness and fatigue. Skin damage occurs, accompanied by the formation of scarlet spots. The causative agent of rheumatic disease is often staphylococcus. If the disease progresses quickly, it can cause damage to the blood valves. In this case, the appearance of pain in the chest area comes to the fore, and intoxication of the body develops. Often with rheumatism, circulatory failure may occur - heart failure develops; cardiac volumes decrease, this condition leads to cyanosis and the appearance of edema. The disease is treated by a cardiologist - an experienced doctor who prescribes preventive procedures to prevent complications of heart disease. To prevent occupational diseases in medicine, the following measures are carried out: sanitary and hygienic work, preventive conversations, medical examinations of workers, and annual medical examinations of healthy individuals.
