Powders are very fine dusts that give the skin a beautiful matte finish, reduce skin irritation and cover up unsightly areas on the skin.
Powders are divided into vegetable powders, obtained from plants, and mineral powders, obtained from minerals.
Plant powders: rice, wheat, potato, iris, lycopodium and others. They are very finely ground starch from these plants.
Mineral powders: talc, white and red clay, infusor earth, zinc oxide, zinc carbonate and others. Mineral powders do not decompose, this is their advantage over vegetable ones.
For aroma, essential oils are added to the powders: rose, geranium and others. For color, color pigments, red clay, and carmine are used.
You should not use powder with a strong smell - it spoils the skin and tires the sense of smell. It’s better to powder with a cotton swab rather than a powder puff - it’s more hygienic.
