Vertebrates

Vertebrates (C) are a group of animals that are characterized by the presence of a backbone and a skull. These include mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. Vertebrates are one of the main groups of animals on earth. Their role in ecosystems is enormous - they are consumers of food, producers of oxygen through the process of respiration and participate in maintaining the balance of organic matter on the planet. The Vertebrates group has its own characteristics in body structure, respiration and life cycle, as well as in adaptation to the environment.

The spines form the support system of the vertebral body and protect the brain and spinal cord. The spine contains the spinal cord, which is the main conduction tract from the brain to the peripheral organs and vice versa. It connects to the brain through the spinal center with many receptors, sensory nerves
