*Relevance. Trachoma is an infectious-inflammatory disease characterized by the occurrence of a productive inflammatory reaction – follicular hyperplasia of the superficial layers of the conjunctiva, leading to partial loss of vision. The massive spread of infection throughout the world required the creation of certain preventive measures and the development of various programs, including government ones. Depending on the geographic location of the spread of infection, the average rate of disease progression is noted.*
