Prilazid is a medicine that is used to treat hypertension and chronic heart failure. It belongs to the group of antihypertensive drugs, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors.

Prilazide is produced in Yugoslavia by the company ICN Galenika. The international name of the drug is Cilazapril.

The drug is available in the form of 2.5 mg tablets. The drug contains the active substance Cilazapril, which is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.

Prilazide is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension, including renovascular hypertension, and chronic heart failure in combination with other drugs. However, the drug has a number of contraindications and side effects that should be taken into account before using it.

Contraindications to the use of the drug are hypersensitivity to other AF inhibitors, angioedema, pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Side effects may include hypotension, decreased hemoglobin and white blood cell levels, dyspepsia, nausea and pancreatitis.
