Proteinuria Paroxysmal

The occurrence of paroxysmal proteinuria is evidence of impaired renal filtration, against which the patient develops signs of developing renal failure. With this course of the disease, the volume of fluid consumed by the body during an attack increases sharply, protein loss occurs, and the person begins to need immediate treatment, which should be prescribed by a doctor.

When this form of pathology is diagnosed, the patient is referred for observation to a nephrologist or urologist. The manifestation of seizure can be completely different: from a slight urge to urinate to tearing pain in the lumbar region and complete failure of the urinary system.

Features of the course

Often, a person faced with a similar diagnosis has no idea what the difference is between paroxysmal and just protein in the urine. This is due to the fact that both symptoms are expressed in the same way in both patients:

- there is a frequent urge to urinate, the fluid released is cloudy in color; - the tests contain a large amount of protein, indicating damage to parenchymal tissue;

Symptoms directly depend on what form of pathology has joined the urinary system - intermittent or permanent. The first type of inflammation occurs due to disruption of the transport of elements necessary to maintain electrolyte balance in the body. During the onset of the attack phase, the concentration of salts and fluid in the blood increases sharply, after which a persistent decrease in urinary function occurs. The volume of excretion decreases, the urine becomes clear. The intermittent type of pathology does not manifest itself as often as the paroxysmal type. But at the moment when it does make itself felt, similar symptoms appear, namely:
