Prothrombin Time

1.1. Thrombosis time is a laboratory indicator of the state of the blood coagulation system.

1.2. To ensure the reliability of the result, it is recommended to conduct the study no earlier than 12 hours after taking medications or eating food. The collection of biological material from the patient is carried out in the morning on an empty stomach (at least 8 hours must pass between the last meal and blood collection during the daytime (from 7:00 to 23:00) and at least 14 hours in the evening and at night. Water can be drunk without restrictions, the consumption of other drinks may be limited recently before the test), heavy physical activity should be avoided the day before and on the day of the procedure. Depending on the type of study, blood sampling can be done on an empty stomach or a short time after eating. The biomaterial is analyzed within 2 hours, so the duration of the “additional examination” after blood sampling should be reduced to a minimum.
