Pseudo-binge

**Pseudo-binge** is a condition similar to alcoholic binge drinking, but resulting from prolonged abstinence from drinking alcohol, excessive consumption of coffee and/or other psychostimulants (containing caffeine), or exogenous depressants (such as antidepressants).

Pseudo-binges consist of episodic periods of time that a person either does not remember or wants to forget. The effect is similar to a hangover, but at the same time you remain clear-headed. Pseudoconstipation is a true temporary disorder and is closely associated with withdrawal symptoms. Some pseudo-binges last for several hours, days or weeks, others for several months.
