Psychiatry Borderline

Borderline psychiatry - (synonyms for p. lesser), a mental disorder characterized by identity disturbances, the presence of mood swings, psychosomatic symptoms and other manifestations on the borderline of the normal mental state of a person.

There is no separate nosological form of borderline psychiatry. The disorder affects patients with difficulties with self-identity, difficulties with socialization and impulse control. It is more often diagnosed in men aged 25–45 years. In children it may be described as borderline personality disorder. Treatment can be complex and includes psychotherapy, medication and relaxation. Psychiatrists describe borderline syndromes using the ICD-10 system. Includes features that are present in many disorders from other ICD classes. According to it, behavioral and emotional symptoms are distinguished.
