Psychosis Manic

Psychosis **manic** is a type of mental pathology characterized by unjustified actions and statements. This is a chronic illness that develops from affective disorders. In ancient Greek there is a term that comes from the word “mania” and is translated as “madness”, “hysteria”. The second name arose due to the similarity of the manifestations with the oddities of the mind. The disease appeared at the end of the 19th century, in 1880. American psychiatrist E. Kraepelin noted manic-depressive illness in isolated patients. At that time this was the only type of disease. Later, other types of mental disorders emerged that had syndromes similar to the manifestations of mania and melancholy. The classification of schizophrenia, revised in 1952, was named after the Spanish researcher Galo. Today psychologists do not use the term “psyche”. Diseases are diagnosed according to special criteria.
