Puerilism

Puerilism (Latin puerilis - children's) is behavior characteristic of children, manifested in naivety of judgment, immaturity of emotional reactions, infantilism.

Puerilism is characterized by age-inappropriate behavior and insufficient personality development. It manifests itself in increased impressionability, emotional instability, and a tendency to imitate. People with puerilism often demonstrate childlike spontaneity, belief in miracles, and an interest in games and entertainment.

Puerilism can be either a natural sign of adolescence or a consequence of delayed mental development. In the latter case, psychological correction is required. Puerile traits in an adult are generally considered undesirable.
