Rupture and cut of the liver

Hippocrates states that anyone whose liver ruptures will die. By rupture he means a complete disruption of continuity in the liver, both in its substance and in the vessels; if the damage is less, then sometimes there is hope. Often, blood is released in the urine or during relaxation, depending on which side of the liver is damaged.

Treatment. This is treated with astringent and adhesive medications, as you know and as mentioned in the paragraph on hemoptysis. Sometimes it helps to give the patient two dirhams of roses and cold water to drink; he is also given pomegranate flowers to drink and a bandage is applied from them.
