Costocervical Trunk

The costocervical trunk (truncus costocervicalis) is a paired trunk connecting the right and left sections of the cervical spine, located in the ventral direction. The anterior end splits into the right and left vertebral arteries, as well as the thoracic and jugular veins. The posterior end fuses with the upper trunk of the spinal cord to form the superior lumbar trunk (truncuspylorus).
