Reflex Abdominal Superior

The abdominal upper reflex is a reflex contraction of the abdominal muscles that occurs when pressing on the upper abdomen in the projection of the ribs. This reflex is one of the signs of the functional viability of the nervous system and the body as a whole. When the strength of the upper abdominal reflex decreases, some diseases not only of the spinal cord, but also of the brain can occur. Moreover, in newborn children, the strength of this reflex characterizes the state of the nervous system in the early period of development. Therefore, determination of the upper abdominal reflexes is a mandatory study in people of all age groups.
