Remember the color
To develop your child's attention and memory for color, you can play a simple game. To start, pick up several small objects of different colors and shapes - for example, a yellow feather, a red heart, a black checker and a brown crayon. Let your child take a good look at and remember these objects.
Then place all the items in an opaque box or bag and ask your child to cover their eyes with a blindfold. Have him carefully touch the objects one by one from the box, trying to remember what color they are. As soon as the object is retrieved, the child names its intended color out loud.
After all the objects have been named, you can remove the blindfold and check how accurately the child remembers their colors. This simple exercise develops attentiveness, touch and visual memory. Gradually, the number and variety of items can be increased to make the task more interesting.
