Reticular membrane

The reticular membrane is a special kind of membrane consisting of protein threads (collagen) located parallel to each other and connected into a three-dimensional structure, which is penetrated by several matrices. This layer plays an important role in maintaining the shape and support of the human body, especially in the ear, helping to compensate for the difference in pressure between the outside world and the inside of the ear, which is also called the “wow effect”.
