Rinne Experience

Rinne is the name of a German otolaryngologist who made significant contributions to the development of science and medicine. Professor of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine and Surgery, Rudolf Franz Richard Rinne was born on May 8, 1821 in the city of Lochstedt in the family of a firewood merchant. Rinne did well at school and subsequently entered the University of Vienna, where he studied medicine. He was an outstanding researcher, physician and musician ahead of his time.

Early in his career, he served in a military hospital and worked in Paris. However, Rinne's most outstanding achievements came during his work in Vienna. Here he was awarded the Gustav Schwalb Prize for young scientists. In 1850 he received the degree of Doctor of Medicine for his research into dysfunction of the middle ear. In 1884 he took the position of professor and headed the clinic. During his leadership, the clinic acquired the status of one of the best medical institutions in Europe. In addition, Rinne took an active part in scientific societies and organizations such as the Medical Society of Vienna and the Swiss Society of Physicians
