**Dracunculiasis**, or **guinea worm**, is a disease caused by the larvae of the parasitic worm Dracunculus. The worm itself lives in water and enters the human body with contaminated food, water, or food with larvae and eggs of other microorganisms. The worm then multiplies under the human skin for a long time and feeds on the juices of the host’s body. It can reach a length of 1-1.5 meters. They live in the host’s body for more than 14 years, causing an infectious inflammatory process and slow decomposition of the affected tissues. Due to the threat to life, many local residents are dying from this disease. Treatment of the disease -
