Erysipelas

Rhoda Blister Erysipelas (Latin: Rosacea, also known as Hot Face or Bulsado) is a skin disorder characterized by the appearance of reddish bumps and bumps as a result of an increase in the number of blood vessels. Erysipelas is one of the most common chronic skin diseases and can manifest itself in different forms, causing not only cosmetic discomfort, but also general malaise.

The causes of the disease can be varied and include environmental, genetic and immune factors. Allergies, the use of certain medications, infectious microorganisms, skin pigmentation patterns and bad habits (for example, smoking, excessive use of cosmetics) can also aggravate symptoms.

Symptoms vary depending on the form of the disease, but common signs include erythema (redness of the skin), the formation of bumps and raised areas, the presence of sebaceous glands and small blisters, itching and burning. The most common presentations of erysipelas include cold erythematous lupus ("horse iron") and hot equine mastitis (predominantly in women).

Treatment of erysipelas depends on the form and degree of the disease. In the early stages, medications may help reduce the impact of symptoms, including anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, and corticosteroids. In cases of severe and advanced stages, surgical intervention may be necessary to remove the tubercles. It is also important for the patient to maintain a healthy lifestyle, avoid contact with allergens and maintain a hygienic indoor environment.

The prognosis of the disease is favorable in most cases. However, if the forms are severe or complications occur, the risk of complications may increase. One of the most serious complications is the development of systemic retinopathy, which affects internal organs such as the eyes, liver, kidneys and heart. Another potentially dangerous scenario is the development of psoriasis, which worsens as a result of exacerbations of skin diseases.

Thus, erysipelas can have serious consequences on human health, especially if the disease is advanced. Therefore, it is important not to expose yourself to the risk of infection and monitor the condition of your skin daily, following your doctor’s recommendations and taking the necessary preventive measures.
