Ru-Herzen Operation

Ru-Herzen (p.roux, 1855 - 1958, corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, prof.) - was proposed to protect the esophagus from chemical burns when it is located next to the trachea. The operation began to be widely used in esophageal surgery, as it made it possible to effectively eliminate the gap in the lumen of the esophagus and reduce the incidence of peptic ulcers. Recently, this operation has been used not only for chemical trauma to the esophagus, but also in gastroenterology.
