Rupture of a Blood Vessel in the Pupil

Rupture of a blood vessel in the pupil

This occurs from sclerosis, as well as from intense small work, which requires a lot of visual strain, as in engravers, typists, doctors, etc. The pain from the rupture is almost not noticed, but the patient immediately feels it by this phenomenon: in front of his eye a black figure appears, shaggy and lacy, popularly called “flies” or “bees”, which makes it difficult to see. The head often feels dizzy and there is nausea.

This phenomenon can be said to be incurable and can remain in one position for years. Sometimes a new gap forms, the size of the “fly” expands, and the eye completely stops seeing.

To prevent new ruptures, you need to take more vitamin C, which helps soften hardened artery walls from sclerosis.

You should avoid tilting your head low to prevent blood from rushing to your eyes. Rutin tablets, which contain calcium, phosphorus and vitamin C, also help.

But the main treatment is patience and time, since the resorption of blood in the affected eye is very slow. No compresses really help. Only warm compresses made from strong tea provide some relief.
