Salpingo-oophoritis

Salpingitis is an infectious process most often associated with inflammatory lesions of the ovaries.

Salpingo-oophoritis is an inflammation of the fallopian tubes and ovaries, usually due to inflammation caused by an infectious disease or microorganisms.

This is often a fairly serious disease, which in some cases can lead to infertility, problems with pregnancy and the risk of ectopic pregnancy. The form itself can also manifest itself through gastrointestinal disorders, fever or genitourinary infections. In the case of the chronic form, the disease often develops asymptomatically and requires medical supervision.
