Sumner's Symptom

Sumner (1850–1930), physician. One of the pioneers of psychoanalysis (the term was coined by Adlerov in 1907, S.’s book “Psychoanalysis” was named both by the name given to him at his place of birth, and more commonly, “The Interpretation of Dreams”). Works on neuroses and obsessions. He developed a method for automatically keeping a diary of traumatic experiences (S.'s method, or the method of free associations). Considered the development of personality under the influence of experiences and social relationships. Founder of Polatropa, a popular magazine about America as a path to democracy.
