Schizophrenia Remitting

Schizophrenic psychoses of remission (remitting schizophrenia) are psychotic disorders that recur over time. The condition may improve for a long time and then worsen after several months or years without psychotic symptoms. Each attack during which the patient experiences manifestations of schizophrenia in remission is followed by a period of improvement.

Schizophrenia can be divided into two main groups - negative and positive. However, there are rarer types of schizophrenia, including remitted schizophrenia (the simple type of schizophrenia).
