Schminke Sarokoma, a famous German pathologist, was born in 1837 in the city of Breslau. He began his career at the university and researched many diseases, including tuberculosis and syphilis. His main contribution to medical science was the study of sarcoma, a malignant tumor arising from connective tissue.
Sarcoma is a malignant tumor that develops from muscle and connective tissue (fibroblasts, fibrocytes, chondrocytes, lipocytes, etc.). It grows quickly, germinates into neighboring tissues, and metastasizes through the bloodstream and lymphatic pathways. Sarcomatous infiltrate (hence the name given by Bonomi and Giorgiati - sarcomatosis) is a kind of sarcainosis of the skin and subcutaneous tissue of the head, neck and chest.
