**Shock**. Shock is a condition characterized by disruption of the body's vital functions due to the influence of some external factor. It can be caused by various reasons: injuries, burns, infectious diseases, intoxication, hypoxia and others.
In states of shock, there is pallor of the skin, lack of movement, impaired breathing and heartbeat, as well as a decrease in blood pressure. Treatment of shock includes complex therapy of the underlying disease and symptomatic correction of the patient’s condition.
Acute shock is characterized by the development of acute disorders of blood circulation, electrolyte balance, metabolism and other body functions. Chronic shock usually occurs due to prolonged exposure to certain factors and is characterized by a gradual increase in symptoms.
