camouflage noise
What are these noise measurements, and why are they needed? This is a question many clients ask me during consultations on acoustic measurements. It often happens like this: the manager of a construction company calls and asks: “Do you have a noise measurement service?” If you answered yes to his question, be sure to clarify in which area exactly your experts work. If in such a situation as sewage treatment, bridge repair, cable laying or airfield construction, it hardly makes sense to take measurements of noise characteristics and create a report in the form of calculation tables, graphs, frequency spectrum diagrams, etc. In this case, of course, there is no point in overpaying for noise measurements that are not useful to you! Believe me, it is much easier to carry out work strictly according to all standards and according to all rules. But, if you are engaged in construction and installation work, for example in the field of air conditioning and ventilation, surveyors specializing in land surveying and design, employees of companies producing various materials or carrying out finishing work, you will often encounter a request for the need to measure noise parameters. So, the main task in developing and creating reports on such analyzes for employees of the customer’s company is to correctly formulate recommendations so that builders do not create unnecessary noise, and the customer can know exactly what noise impacts will interfere with him and his employees during work or use object. As you can see, a completely normal practice!
Now, in order. Noise impacts are invisible to the human eye, so objective methods for assessing their characteristics have been developed where accuracy and reliability of the results are required. And in ecology and acoustics (developments both in the field of health care and nature conservation), it is often necessary to conduct comparative studies of nearby objects and structures. It follows that the accuracy of the estimated values is not always possible. What to do? For this purpose, preliminary tests are carried out using simple tests. However, first of all we must proceed from considerations of availability and cost. After all, it is important to take into account whether there will be a practical result from the measurements: will it protect and secure the working personnel and the environment, will it help reduce the volume of repair work, ensure the correct storage of raw materials, will it reduce the costs of processing and the use of special equipment
