Virilizing syndrome (VS) is a condition opposite to female masculinization, manifested in the relative predominance of male sexual characteristics in newborn girls in the absence of karyotypic changes in the Y chromosome. In the literature S.V. most often associated with the presence at birth of girls of external genitalia characteristic of boys (virilism). In approximately 50% of cases of virilizing syndrome, there is a congenital pathology of the urinary system - diverticulum or pyelectasia. This leads to stagnation of urine and, as a consequence, the addition of infectious and inflammatory processes, which are the main cause of death in patients from 0 to 3 years of age.
