Sclerosis (scleroderma, scleresia, sclerosis, sclerodynia) is a type of acute rheumatic fever. It develops more often in young and middle-aged women, mainly after illnesses accompanied by intoxication; characterized by a pronounced syndrome of vascular-hypoxic damage to organs and body systems.
