What is Arterioscletric Dementia?

This is a degenerative process that affects the inner walls of large arteries, leading to the formation of atherosclerotic plaques and narrowing of blood vessels. Artereosclerical dementia is a chronic, progressive lesion of the cerebral cortex and other parts, caused by vascular disorders of cerebral circulation, characterized by mental changes such as organic dementia, leading to dementia.
