Tear Lake
The lake of tears is a body of water located in the temporal bone of the skull. Its main purpose is to moisturize the cornea of the eye during natural blinking and when lacrimation occurs. It is one of the most important elements of the lacrimal gland system. The lacrimal glands are paired formations that produce fluid to moisturize the ocular surface and moisturize the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth. The location of the lacrimal glands differs among different peoples, which can be explained by the local genetic code. The following forms of position of the lacrimal organs are distinguished: - nasolacrimal ducts - developed lacrimal ducts are absent -
