Soft Meninges (Pia, Pia Mater)

The soft membrane (Pia, Pia Mater) is the inner of the three membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Its surface fits tightly to the surface of the brain and spinal cord, covering all the grooves and convolutions present on it. The pia mater contains many tiny branching blood vessels that supply blood to the brain. The subarachnoid (subarachnoid) space separates it from the arachnoid mater.

**Pia mater** (Pia) covers all surfaces of the hemispheres in the center of the organ. It consists of a special layer of tissue of the human nervous system. It is formed by the inner layer of neuroglia. A description of the internal structure of this layer is contained in Wikipedia. The flexible meninges regulate the development and growth of the brain during the intensive growth of the child’s body. The shell fits tightly
