Meynert's commissure refers to anatomical formations in the form of two folds of the membranes of the diaphragm, located in the retroperitoneal cellular space. Meynert's commissures are two joints of subphrenic folds of tissue of the diaphragm and peritoneum, forming the walls of the abdominal cavity near the junction of the esophagus with the stomach. Meynert's adhesions play an important role in the physiology of the body as they regulate the functioning of the intestines and stomach.
