Steatocystoma Multiple

Steatocyst (a yellow subcutaneous fibrous nodule without a cavity, inside of which there is a homogeneous yellow-white mass) is a consequence of the manifestation of lipomatous lipolization. It refers to mucinous cystic proliferation of the mucous membrane of the sebaceous glands, which occurs due to a violation of cellular metabolism and the accumulation of excess fat cannot produce liquid fat. Gradually, the contents of these cysts turn into a dense white mass consisting of epithelium and neutral fats. For a long time, these neoplasms may not manifest themselves with any symptoms, but under the influence of mechanical, chemical or other types of trauma, they make themselves felt by soreness and redness of the skin above them - inflamed formations. If the patient does not have the opportunity to go outside or change the skin area in any way, then the steatocytes will be constantly poisoned and thereby cause pain and redness on the skin. Therefore, the location of steatocytes is always the skin fold. Their presence can be hidden and appear only when taking an anamnesis and biomicroscopic examination of soft tissues. Diagnosis of steatsitis is also based on a description of the course of the disease, anamnesis - examination of the skin of the face and body. Along with this benign tumor, the most common are lipomas (Botkin's disease), which occur in people aged 20–49 years. Most pathogenic factors and diseases that provoke disease activity negatively affect human lipid metabolism.
