Joint capsule

The joint capsule is a thin membrane that surrounds a joint and provides stability and protection. The joint capsules are formed by connective tissue and are located around the synovium. They come in different shapes and sizes depending on the type of joint and the function it performs.

The articular capsule plays an important role in the normal functioning of the articular apparatus. It protects the joint from damage, friction, infections and other external influences. It also provides stability to the joint, preventing it from moving sideways and allowing for smooth movement.

Possible pathologies of the joint capsules can manifest themselves with various symptoms, such as pain, limitation of movement, swelling, redness, etc.
