The ligament of Henley is one of the most important vascular arteriole-vemural anastomoses, connecting the arteries of the same name in the brain and spinal cord. Position: inside the hemispheres, medial to the posterior medullary velum, in the posterior parts of the lateral ventricle and the cistern of Sylvius, at the level of the cerebellum. The ligament of Henley plays an important role in the distribution of cerebral blood, especially in the sleeping brain; in the presence of pathology, it is significantly impaired.
