Teeth, Milk Teeth

Teeth are one of the most important elements of our body. Not only are they essential for proper digestion, but they are also a key element of our appearance and social communication. However, despite their importance, we often forget that teeth require special care and attention.

In the human oral cavity there are constantly hundreds of different microbes that penetrate through diseased teeth into the blood and can cause serious diseases. Lack of dental care can lead to problems such as tooth decay, plaque, periodontal disease and other oral diseases.

To keep your teeth healthy, you need to take care of them daily. Regular brushing of teeth after every meal or at least once a day is a must. Brushing your teeth not only removes food debris from your teeth, but also helps strengthen your gums and prevent the development of oral diseases.

In addition to regularly brushing your teeth, you should also visit your dentist regularly for professional cleanings, fillings, and other procedures. It is recommended to visit the dentist at least twice a year.

Baby teeth

Baby teeth play an important role in the formation of a child’s correct bite. They begin to appear at the age of 6 months and remain in the oral cavity until 6-7 years. Primary teeth are smaller than permanent teeth and their enamel is thinner. However, although baby teeth are temporary, they also require special care.

Parents should monitor the condition of their children's baby teeth and brush them regularly using a soft toothbrush and children's toothpaste. In addition, it is necessary to monitor the child’s diet and limit the consumption of sweet and sour foods, which can destroy the enamel of baby teeth.

It is important to note that baby teeth are essential for the proper development of permanent teeth, so losing them before term can lead to problems with your bite and the health of your permanent teeth.

Toothache and its causes

Toothache can occur for various reasons, and its manifestations can be very diverse. The most common causes of toothache include:

  1. Nervous toothache: To calm it down, it is recommended to take bromine or 20 orange drops of valerian 2-3 times a day, as well as use local anesthetics such as lidocaine or benzocaine.

  2. Tooth decay: This is the most common cause of toothache and occurs due to the destruction of tooth enamel and dentin by acidic products produced by bacteria in plaque. To treat caries, it is necessary to remove the affected tissue and fill the tooth.

  3. Pulpitis: This is an inflammation of the dental pulp that can be caused by tooth decay, trauma, or other factors. With pulpitis, severe toothache often occurs, which can intensify when eating hot, cold or sweet foods. To treat pulpitis, it may be necessary to remove the dental pulp and fill root canals.

  4. Periodontitis: This is an inflammation of the tissues surrounding the tooth, which can be caused by infection, trauma, or other factors. Periodontitis causes pain and swelling of the gums, and tooth loss may also occur. Treatment of periodontitis may require tooth extraction or surgery.

  5. Tartar: This is a hard plaque on the teeth that is formed from minerals from saliva and is found under plaque. Tartar can cause gum irritation and tooth pain. To remove tartar, you must contact your dentist.

It is important to note that toothache can be associated with serious medical conditions such as cancer or infection, so if you experience toothache, you should contact your dentist.
