Luteinized hormone test
Diagnostic lutein tests are a group of diagnostic tests that are used to measure the level of lutein in a person's blood or urine. Lutein is a hormonal substance that is produced in the body when ovulation is stimulated. The test uses a urine sample or blood test. The results make it possible to identify the cause of a woman’s delay in menstruation and analyze the condition of the body. How does the analysis take place? The urine is collected in a container and sent to the laboratory for analysis. A special process is carried out in the laboratory to determine the level of lutein. This process is called lutinalization. The obtained data are compared with the norm. If test results show elevated levels of luteins in your urine, this may indicate a health problem. For example, elevated levels may indicate the presence of an ovarian tumor or endometriosis.
