Thermoreceptors are special sensitive nerve endings that take part in the perception, processing and interpretation of information about the temperature of the external and internal environment of the body. It is also possible to feel pain using thermal receptors. Thus, these structures are representations of structurally complexly organized sensory organs of humans and animals on the periphery.
