Thymectomy

A thymectoma is a surgical procedure in which part of the thymus gland (thymus gland) is removed. This gland plays an important role in the development of the immune system and protecting the body from infections. Currently, thymectoma is performed through laparoscopy or surgery to treat a number of diseases such as autoimmune diseases, oncology and organ transplantation.
