Make Up Eraser wipes and gloves promise to wash off even waterproof cosmetics without additional products - just with water. Let's see how they cope with this.
We've already heard this somewhere... Oh, yes: when we tested the Glov miracle mittens. Then we were not happy.
But maybe this is a completely different story?
Make Up Eraser is available in three formats: large and small napkins, more like rags...
...and gloves for removing makeup.
All are made from specially woven polyester fibers. During production, the fabric is not chemically treated, as stated in the press release. And this should guarantee its hypoallergenicity.
Before first use, both napkins and mittens should be washed and dried. And then moisten with warm water - and go ahead: the velvety surface will remove makeup, including from the eyelids, and the long fibers will provide an additional peeling effect.
To avoid accidentally making a mistake with the method of use, you can watch the video:
MakeUp Eraser is suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive: the fabric is promised to be so soft that it will not cause redness or irritation. You can use napkins and gloves as many times as you like (how many times exactly is not indicated) - their properties will remain intact even after repeated washings.
REVIEWS
Lena: “We have already tested similar things - Glov Hydro Demaguillage mittens. After Make Up Eraser, my opinion of these devices did not improve. She smears mascara and eyeliner over her eyelids. The foundation does not wash off completely. That is, at first everything seems cool: there are beige marks on the rag, the face looks clean. But if you go to a well-lit mirror, when the skin is no longer wet, you can see that there is tone left in the pores and on the wings of the nose.
I’m also confused by this wildly strange sensation of rubbing my face with a plush towel. And, most importantly, why? Is it difficult to wash your face with micellar water? No. Does Make Up Eraser speed up the process? Not again. Vice versa. Maybe it's convenient on a plane or train? No again: what to do with a wet uh... sock?
Yana Z., on the contrary, was inspired by the rag. And I decided that I was either being too picky or preparing it incorrectly. So we did an experiment. First she washed her face (light makeup: foundation, concealer, eyebrows, eyelashes). And then she washed me, with my usual make-up :) With one hand she held me by the top of my head, and with the other she washed me like Winnie the Pooh Piglet. Those interested stood on the sides and watched. About three minutes later, Yulia raised her voice (either out of pity for me, or out of a desire to go home as quickly as possible it was twelve o’clock): “What’s the argument about? One washes off, the other doesn’t.” That's what we decided on :)
And I’m wildly interested to know the opinion of those who have tried similar things - whose coalition will you join?)"

“My opinion cannot be called completely objective, because for the last two months I have been using a minimum of cosmetics (light tone, colored eyebrow gel) and avoiding waterproof cosmetics.
But here's what I noticed.
I usually wash my face with Avene makeup remover milk. It is very soft, does not irritate the skin, even removes mascara well, but there is only one BUT. After it, some kind of film remains on the face, which irritates me. Having received the Make Up Eraser towel, I decided to simply wipe off this film with it. I got a white towel. And when I looked at it after washing, it turned out to be brown. It turned out that my milk did not completely remove the foundation, and after washing with a towel, not a trace of the foundation remained on my face (I checked it by going over it with a cotton pad).
Now I take it with me to the gym. Convenient: the fewer cans you carry, the lighter the bag-)"
Masha Botvinina: “The idea of rubbing your face with a rag seems strange to me. It would be nice if she did a great job of removing my makeup, but no. The BB cream remained on my face, and to wash it off, I needed two more cotton pads - my usual number of pads for removing tone. To remove mascara and eyeliner, I had to naturally rub my eyes. And to top it off, the wool began to fall out of my red rag. Well, or fluff. And stick to your face. No guys, I don't play like that.
The only use for such rags, in my opinion, is to remove difficult-to-wash masks. For example, two-phase Fresh Start Mask, Skyn Iceland or Turmeric Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque, Kiehl’s, in which cranberry seeds do not want to come off the skin. If only the fabric didn’t fluff yet.”

“I also don’t really understand this story - removing makeup with a wet rag (or, in my case, a pink glove). Lena is right: the functionality is unclear. Where to use it? On the road.
However, it removes my minimal makeup (cushion tone, liquid highlighter, eye shadow, lipstick) very well. It can’t cope with mascara (smudges!) and lip tint - but no cloth can save you here.
However, I need these cloths all the time: nothing washes off masks better than them. And this is where they are super convenient - unlike cotton pads, they remove everything much faster. Moreover, using a glove is better than just a rag: you can use your fingertips to remove excess from the wings of the nose, the hairline - in general, everything that is called “hard-to-reach places” in advertising.
I agree with the manufacturer’s advice to wash gloves before first use. Otherwise, they’re like new towels—they look nice, but they don’t dry very well.”
Yana Zubtsova: “
Well, you've already been told everything. Yes, I liked these rags. Regarding the questions and doubts of my colleagues, I have something to say. First of all, Masha, so that no fur remains on your face, you need to wash a rag or glove in a machine. And everything will be ok. Secondly, Lena, you can dry it later when you arrive, and on the train, after washing, you can simply put it in a plastic bag (I always carry shower caps with me from hotels, they are extremely multifunctional things :). Thirdly, Lena, let’s be honest: we didn’t wash off “your usual make-up”, but the war paint with Chanel shadows, which you didn’t even dare to go out for cheesecakes at “Karavaevs”.
In short, it seems to me that these rag-gloves are very viable. The main thing is don’t take white ones (you’ll have a hard time washing them, the tone is not so visible on pink, blue and black ones), throw them in the machine before the first use and don’t dry them on a hot radiator.
They remove all my makeup perfectly, provide light peeling, and my skin feels great after using them. Here".

NEW from iHERB: MAGICAL REUSABLE CLOTH FOR MAKEUP REMOVAL WITHOUT DETERGENTS
Just a napkin and water.
Save on micellar solutions and foams.
Saving on cotton pads.
Soft touch of plush.
Truly, truly, a magnificent thing!
I'm incredibly glad I bought it.
To get rid of the mascara, we need a piece of plush
I rarely paint my eyelashes, also because removing mascara afterwards is a real headache. You waste a bunch of cotton pads, liters of micellar, and the remains of mascara still remain on your eyelashes.
Remains of mascara or micellar get into the eyes - they become irritated and red, and the skin around the eyes stretches due to frequent friction.
How easy and simple it is to remove mascara using a napkin!
I soaked it in warm water, applied it to my eyelashes, swiped it several times - and the job was done! All mascara is removed without a trace.
The fabric is the most delicate. Thick soft plush. Bury yourself in it - and stay!
Of course, it also removes any makeup from your face. But if you can use, for example, the same EcoTools exfoliating wipes for your face, then for thin skin around the eyes and lips it is better to avoid such an abrasive.
Just like in cleaning wipes. This is microfiber. It consists of ultra-thin polyester (polyester) fibers that literally “draw” grease and dirt into itself.
The effectiveness is so high that if you follow the wipe with a micellar solution, the disc will remain clean.
The fabric is safe and hypoallergenic. Liquid cosmetics often cause allergies, and this napkin can be used even for allergy sufferers.
The manufacturer produces napkins in two sizes: small and large.
Small in size - like two smartphones, and square in shape, like a handkerchief.
Large - like four smartphones, shaped - elongated, like a scarf.
I bought a small napkin. To remove mascara, lipstick and foundation, this is enough for one time.
The small version is also convenient to take on trips - in addition to the fact that you don’t need to carry micellar water and milk with you, such a napkin weighs nothing and takes up minimal space.
After use, the napkin can be easily washed with soap and water, even in running water. You can also throw it in the machine.
The manufacturer advises machine washing before the first use - to “activate” the fibers.
It’s correct, of course, to have two of these napkins: while one is in the wash, you use the other.
I think this is a real future hit for iHerb.
And before March 8th - also a practical, budget-friendly and original gift, no worse than EOS lip balms!
P.S. The napkins are quickly dismantled. The little one I announced on Wednesday is no longer available.

Smart makeup remover MakeUp Eraser.
You can read what came out of this below.
In our modern age, when there is no longer enough time even for basic things, such tools are designed to make our lives easier and save our precious time for more important moments, according to manufacturers.
I’ll say right away that before I got acquainted with this makeup remover wipe, I was not familiar with such cleansers, so I myself was wondering how one small cloth could replace at least 3-4 makeup removers for me?
But first things first.
According to the manufacturer, the excellent properties of the napkin lie in the weaving of the threads in a special way. During its production, the fabric was not subjected to chemical treatments and therefore it is hypoallergenic and absolutely safe for consumer use.
So, my detailed opinion about it:
- the material is packed in a plastic box in a color identical to it,
and also in a transparent plastic bag with additional information printed on it
-fabric composition 100% polyester
-napkin size is about 40x20 cm
-the color palette is quite large and includes shades of pink, blue, cyan, red, purple, black and even white.
- the fabric of the napkin is indeed, as the manufacturer assures, very soft and pleasant to the touch and tactile.
Both sides differ in their surface. One with shorter bristles, which is designed to cope with the removal of our makeup. The second - with a longer one, which will gently exfoliate the upper layer of the epidermis of our skin
-the napkin is sewn with very high quality, despite the fact that it was made in China, all the seams are perfectly processed, there are no threads sticking out anywhere, there are no oblique seams, which initially builds confidence in this cosmetic accessory.
It is manufactured in the USA. For me there are no questions here, where it is cheaper is where they sew
-before use, a napkin is required wash either manually or in a washing machine in a gentle wash mode at a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees. I washed mine the first time and all subsequent times and continue to wash it by hand.
-it is recommended to dry it at room temperature, away from heating elements, so as not to damage its quality properties and also store it in well-ventilated places
-the napkin has up to 1000 uses, including removing makeup, removing masks and warm steaming facial treatments (by the way, according to my observations, it retains heat much longer than a regular face towel)
- service life on average 2-2.5 years with almost daily use
- in almost a month of my daily use and washing, the fabric has not changed at all, the seams have not crept, it has not lost its shape or color. She remained as soft and pleasant.
I've told you about all the characteristics, let's move on to the most important thing - removing makeup.
What I do: I wet a napkin with warm, clean water and start removing makeup, because... It is quite large in size, so its surface is more than enough for me.
The first thing I do is remove my eye makeup. In my daily ritual, I use different decorative products: both long-lasting and ordinary.
I apply the napkin to my eyelids and hold it there for a few minutes so that the makeup dissolves a little and makes it easier to remove. Next, I remove it using circular, careful and calm movements along the massage lines. I’ll say right away that this material did not completely cope with active and long-lasting makeup. Removes mascara and light shadows without leaving any residue.
It removes foundation, blush, eyebrow products, lipstick and regular non-persistent cosmetics perfectly cleanly.
After using it for the first time, I took a cotton pad soaked in micellar water and tested the wipe for its effectiveness in cleaning.
The result of the test - pink fibers of the fabric itself and barely visible traces of cosmetics remained on the disc. In subsequent times, no fragments of matter were found).
I can say that for me, this method of removing makeup is not the only and 100 percent effective after using it, I still continue to use my cleanser. But it replaced the use of hydrophilic oil, makeup remover milk, and micellar water for me. The condition of the skin did not get worse, the subcutaneous tissues did not come out.
After using it, I wash it with liquid soap or powder and all the dirt disappears from the surface, as in the advertisement about the powder - easily and quickly
It's time to show it "in action"
On my hand are some decorative products that I use in makeup at different times -
Maybelline cream eyeshadow
Clarins Supra Volume Mascara
Maybelline Gel Eyeliner
Shadow stick in Nyx stick
Dior Forever foundation
Estée Lauder Envy 350 lipstick
Liquid lipstick Nouba Millebaci 07
I waited about 15 minutes for them to set.
Next, I lower the material under a stream of warm water, squeeze out excess moisture and apply it to my hand for a while.
Then I slowly remove the makeup in a circular motion. In the photo below you can see that she still couldn’t cope with persistent remedies, unfortunately...
Below it is after use and washing, all the dirt came off from the fabric in a few minutes.
Let me summarize: this method of removing makeup will be indispensable when traveling, out of town, when we don’t want and can’t take a large arsenal of skincare products, or when we don’t have the energy for multi-step care. For me, it has become indispensable for removing various masks from the face. With her help, it takes me several times less time than when I simply remove them with my hands. Such a thing is not irreplaceable, but having it will make our life easier in some ways. I am pleased that I met her, and you can decide for yourself whether such a modern gadget has a place in your care, perhaps not every day.
