Nevofam is a drug that belongs to the group of histamine H2 receptor blockers. Produced in Turkey by Mustafa Nevzat. International trade name - Famotidine. Nevofam is used to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers, and is also used in the treatment of erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding.

The main contraindications are hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy and breastfeeding. The possible negative effect of neopham on the liver should be taken into account, so you should take it with caution if you have liver problems.

Possible side effects: dry mouth, decreased appetite, nausea and vomiting, abdominal discomfort, increased serum transaminases, gallstone jaundice; fatigue, noise phenomenon, headache, dizziness, hallucinogenic symptoms, heart rhythm disturbances, muscle and arthritis.

Negative interactions with antacids containing magnesium and aluminum are also possible. Instead, famotide should be administered at a ratio of at least two hours. In case of overdose, it is recommended to rinse the stomach and carry out symptomatic supportive therapy.

It is important to note that nevof is not recommended for use in children to protect the liver in case of stomach and duodenal ulcers; stomach cancer can be ignored; one must be careful when using it if the liver is impaired; one should choose low doses.
