Labial frenulum

**Description of the concept of “genital frenulum”**:

The term comes from the Latin word frenulum, meaning ribbon, strap or binding. Refers to the ligamentous organ located at the entrance to the female urethra (urethra). In men, it is located at the apex of the clitoris and is a small space between the head of the penis and the anterior surface of the urethra. The frenulum of the tongue and lips are synonyms that are used colloquially to refer to the same organ, which is a feature of the anatomy of the human body. This tongue is the name given to the fold of skin that connects the upper lip and lower jaw. Thus, based on the fact that the frenum of the urethra and the frenulum on the female labia are a synonym meaning the same thing, the etymology of the corresponding terms becomes clear.
